Currently, I'm reading (or trying to) 'no easy answer: the truth behind death at Columbine'. It's a disturbing non-fiction book. ... No. Really.
'On April 20, 1999, Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris, two seniors at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado, shot to death twelve students and one teacher and wounded many others. It was the worst single act of murder at a school in U.S history...'
This book basically focuses on what could have caused or influenced these two boys to go around and shoot their schoolmates' guts off. Seriously, I think that, based on the book, everyone else has been bullied before and the adults haven't done anything about it. So it's not really a reason for the boys to just go and murder the other kids. Besides, one of those two boys, Dylan, had really nice parents (though it's a relief that he actually showed remorse when he told them he loved them and that they couldn't do anything bout it and that he was going to die after he shot the other students). There had already been many warning signs that led to Columbine many years before it happened. The part which really pissed me off was that the police force actually freaking stood there outside the damn school while those boys were firing at the students. And the police did absolutely nothing until a few hours AFTER the shooting, which resulted in a teacher bleeding to death when he could've been saved many hours before. ... Okay I'm not sure about the 'police did absolutely nothing until a few hours AFTER the shooting' part, but I'm pretty sure that the police did nothing WHILE the shooting was going on. And that teacher was saved AFTER the shooting was over, which is actually kinda stupid. And a few more people, victims who survived and the victims' families, some of them committed suicide because the memories from that day was too much for them. Eric and Dylan continued killing indirectly even after they shot their own heads off. In this story, the police are the bad guys (wow. that's new).
... And I'm not done with this book so LAY OFF!
Nah. Kidding.
Anywhos. ... Yeah this post is kinda long. I'm trying to fill up the page 'cos, like, it looks pretty dumb and plain with just the first post sitting there, isolated... alone.... you get my point.
I suggest you check out that book if you like contemporary affairs and true crime.
I wonder if this is long enough...
Nah. I'll just throw in a song for the cause of sadisticism (there's such a word?)
Btw, this song (plus 'Heaven' by Dj Sammy) got (2e3) Hadi emo for about...
4 days and still rolling.
'So Far Away'
this is my life
its not what it was before
all these feelings i've shared
and these are my dreams
that i'd never lived before
somebody shake me
'cause i
i must be sleeping
[chorus]
now that we're here,
it's so far away
all the struggle we thought was in vain
all the mistakes,
one life contained
they all finally start to go away
now that we're here its so far away
and i feel like i can face the day i can forgive
and i'm not ashamed to be the person that i am today
these are my words
that i've never said before
i think i'm doing okay
and this is the smile
that i've never shown before
somebody shake me 'cause i
i must be sleeping
[chorus]
i'm so afraid of waking
please don't shake me
afraid of waking
please don't shake me
[chorus]
Kay. I think 'tis long 'nuff.
Bye, yo.
